Continuing on with its annual tradition, TATA DAV Public School, WBC, Ghatotand organized the Summer Camp from 2^nd June to 8^th June 2020 for students of class III to VII. Even though the entire world is reeling under the crutches of COVID-19 pandemic, our school managed to successfully organize the camp taking into all necessary precautions and government directives. Keeping this in view our Principal Madam, Mrs. Kiran Yadav suggested an innovative method of conducting the camp via online mode so that the students Stay Home, Stay Safe yet be part of this wonderful camp and enrich their skills. The summer camp focussed on four main themes: Games and Sports, Art and Craft, Music, Personality Development. The online conduct of the camp was a milestone in the history of the school in this region and also made it even more successful as the students now had the option of participating in activities of all four themes without missing out on any.

The summer camp was inaugurated on 1^st June  and the closing ceremony of the same was conducted on 9^th June in school auditorium. The closing ceremony was attended by the Principal, all teachers of the school, selected students and resource persons of the camp. Events of the ceremony included a message by the Principal spreading awareness in times of the global pandemic, handing over of certificates to the winners of different activities conducted during the camp and felicitating the resource persons. This summer camp was not only successful in imparting the necessary skills to the students but it was also conducted taking into account all the precautions related to COVID-19 including maintaining social and physical distance, wearing of masks and other protective gears by students and instructors while creating videos and inspiring them to follow healthy and immunity boosting techniques as mandated by the government.
