World Population Day

In order to create awareness among the students and other stakeholders about the scarcity of resources in the face of uncontrolled population growth that needs immediate check TATA DAV PS, WBC, Ghatotand organised World Population Day on 11th July 2021. As part of the  event based on the overall theme "Can We Afford Second?", a three tier online programme was conducted. This included (a) Drawing  competition on the theme "Papa Mummy and Me" for the classes 3 to 5, (b) Poem Writing Competition on the theme of "Papa Mummy and only Me" to highlight the possibility of a happy and decent life if the size of family remains small for classes 6 to 8 and (c) Bilingual Speech competition through Google Meet on the topic "Population Control Act is the Urgent Need this Hour" for classes 9 to 12. On the whole, the participants of the various programmes were enlightened that explosion of population in the near future is a matter of concern not only for policy makers but every individual because population growth in India has created threat for the very survival of mankind on earth.
